Prospects of Business in Ringtones

The days are gone when people used to have monophonic ringtones in their cell phones. Now people can exercise their choice for selection, as in the case of any other commodity. Noting the interest in the public regarding these tones, more and more companies are getting into the business, earning fast bucks. The profits they earn lure more business people into the industry.
These days people attach much importance in selecting the right tones as they feel that they get noticed through them. People can identify when a beloved one calls through the ringtone. Tones that cater to different occasions and moods are available these days. Thus a customer can personalize his or her caller tone. This trend was initiated when companies started selling melodies over the internet.
The industry has witnessed unprecedented growth. Innovative methods are used by companies to attract customers. Telecommunication networks are also involved to sell music and tones to the public. The companies even use time tested research and surveys to analyze the pulse of the market. The preferences of prospective customers are thoroughly evaluated before launching a tone in the market.
The booming industry has seen even the mobile phone manufacturers jumping into the scene where the melody industry is making huge profits. Considering the wide variety of business ventures jumping into the fray, one wonders about the sweeping influence of the phone melody industry. Telecom operators are earning huge profits due to the spurt in this business. The industry has not even spared the leading brands of consumer goods from joining it, by offering their ad jingles free of cost to youngsters as ringtones. The brand names of the companies echo in the ears of the public which results in better sales. This has increased the mushrooming of mobile music marketing firms. Ringtone companies also earn much by targeting people with excellent advertisement and marketing skills and making these people work for them.
The spiraling business of selling ringtones has blown a new life into the music industry. Mobile music downloads are increasing resulting in greater cash inflow. Additional royalties are given to musicians for using their melodies as ringtones and music record companies are earning windfall profits due to the increased volumes in this business. In a nut shell, we can say that the scenario has changed in such a way that in near future, other incomes of music companies will pale into insignificance when compared to the incomes generated by the ringtone business.

Down By the Old Mill Stream Lyrics

Mill stream (not the river but the stream),

Where I first (not the last but the first)

Met you. (Not me but you.)

With your eyes (not your ears, but your eyes)

Of blue (not green, but blue).

Dressed in ging- (not silk but ging-) -ham too. (Not one but two.)

And it was there (not here, but there),

I knew (not old, but new)

That you loved (not hate, but loved)

Me too. (Not one but two.)

You were sixteen (not seventeen, but sixteen)

My village queen! (Not the king, but the queen).

Down by the old (not the new, but the old),

Mill stream (not the river, but the stream).
